Lot 1010 Ithaca Model 37 16 GA #139923

American made vintage bottom ejecting slide action shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 16 gauge shells, manufactured circa 1947. It features a blued finish, 27 1/4" fixed full choke barrel (measures 'IC' with a drop-in gauge), round barrel with brass bead front sight, push button safety, smooth curved trigger, steel receiver with engraved game bird scenes, half length tube magazine, 'corn cob' style walnut slide handle, and checkered walnut semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with black plastic grip cap, and a vented brown rubber Weatherby's recoil pad. The original blued finish is about 80% with handling loss, edge wear, and light scratches. The metal shows some light scattered rust on the barrel and receiver. Wood furniture is fair considering the age but it is cracked and chipped behind the trigger guard, along with scattered scratches, and blemishes. Bore looks excellent and bright. Length-of-pull is 14", and the action is smooth and crisp.
Condition is NRA Fair to Good.
